Bardfield Academy

Welcome to Our Children’s Page

Whether you are in Nursery, KS1 or KS2 we encourage you to do your best and enjoy learning. Our school rules help everyone feel safe and happy, and we have high expectations for behaviour, effort, and respect.

We have 3 rules

  • Be safe
  • Be curious
  • Be respectful

We love to celebrate your achievements, whether it’s excellent attendance, fantastic work in class, amazing homework or demonstrating one of our trust values (Belonging, Compassion, Curiosity or Empowerment).

You may be nominated for a celebration certificate, earn dojo points for your team, sharing your work with others or being invited to afternoon tea with a senior leader. There are many reasons to be recognised; great effort, outstanding work and positive behaviour, and we regularly celebrate and reward your successes!

Learning here is fun, supportive, and full of opportunities to grow!

Focus – we get better from being challenged!

Collaborate – we learn by sharing our ideas and discussing together.

Success – Learning should make you feel successful!

High Expectations – we expect everyone to follow our school rules, we know sometimes we may need to remind you and reexplain them but we can model them for each other.

Roles of Responsibility at Bardfield Academy

At Bardfield Academy, we encourage children to take on roles of responsibility to develop leadership skills, confidence, and teamwork. Opportunities include:

  • Pupil Leadership Team (working across the trust)
  • School Councillors (Yr 2 -Yr 6)
  • Sports Ambassadors
  • Library Monitors
  • Lunch Buddies (for KS1)
  • Digital Leaders
  • Spanish Ambassadors
  • Team Captains (Yr 6 only)

These roles give children a chance to contribute to school life, support their peers, and make a positive difference in our community.

We also encourage pupils to write for the school newsletter, sharing their first hand sporting successes both in school and outside of school.
